L.A collective 'Black Hippy'; who are signed with Interscope and their imprint label 'Top Dawg' consists of four artists - Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab- Soul and Jay Rock. Although they are yet to release a collaborative project, its not uncommon to see regular features on each other's mixtapes, albums and tracks. Schoolboy Q's latest mixtape 'Habit's and Contradictions' features all three of the artists alongside him on different tracks including one of the anthems from the tape; 'Blessed' with Kendrick Lamar.
But the next project for the collective is Ab-Soul's album 'Control System', which is set to be released on May 21st - surely to feature some of the other members. Recently a track between Ab- Soul and Danny Brown hit the net, coming from the XL Freshman mixtape, and if that's anything to go off of, i'm excited for his album! Along with the announcement of this album came an amazing video for the album's first track 'Pineal Gland';
