M|O|D - The new wave of Trap

Thanks once again to Live For The Funk for this one. The Trap sound has been back on the rise thanks to rappers like Gucci Mane, Juicy J and Waka.....but there are some great producers working away in the scene like Flosstradamus. There's even a more discrete side to Trap music - looking at artists like Lunice and Hudson Mohawke, it's clear to see there is a trap element in their some of their minimal Hip Hop production. Artists like Hudmo, Lunice and Rustie are paving the way whilst heavily influencing artists like my new favourite trap collective M|O|D. 


The group of 5 producers and DJ's have a variation of tracks floating around their soundcloud's and websites - ranging from heavy Hip Hop beats that you could easily imagine Waka Flocka over.....to harmonious synth-ey Trap that's not far from a modern day ghetto Mario 64 soundtrack.
