Royalty Mixtape - Childish Gambino

New music from Childish Gambino; one of the stars to emerge in 2011. The actor, writer, comedian and Rapper has stirred up one of the most varied tapes that I've seen in a while. The majority of production coming from Gambino, but the Georgia native also calls on Danny Brown favourite; Skywlkr, hitmaker Boi-1Da and Ludwig Goransson; the composer for Gambino's TV Show; 'Community'.

And that's just production. You just have to look at the features on this tape to realise how diverse Gambino is as an artist. For the Hip Hop heads, you get a touch of old school through the likes of Wu Tang's RZA and Ghostface Killah and Southern legend Bun B and then essences of the new wave through others like Brooklyn Bruiser; Danny Brown and TDE's Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul. At completely the other side of the spectrum, Gambino's also been working with more alternative acts like Beck, one of the Haim sisters and up and comers Josh Osho and Kilo Kish. As if that's not enough for variety, Childish even asked another co-worker; Tina Fey from 30 Rock (who he writes for) to jump on the end track laying down the last vocals...."My president is Black and Prius is Blue motherfucker."
